Beginning with an informative gear and bug discussion in the shop, we then transition seamlessly to the riverbank, where you’ll receive expert guidance on fishing techniques. Dive right in and cast your line into the Grand River, putting your newfound skills to the test in real-time along side our seasoned instructors. This hands-on approach allows you to learn by doing, making for a truly immersive and enjoyable experience.

- Explain the system (rod, reel, line, leader and tippet)

Rods, Reels, Lines, Leaders, Flies and Waders are provided courtesy of Grand River Outfitting and Fly Shops and Guidline Fly Fishing but you are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you would like!

One on One Guided Trips
$450/6 hr. Second angler can join for $100.
Embark on unforgettable one-on-one guided trips to explore pristine creeks, rivers, ponds, and lakes in pursuit of a variety of exciting fish species including brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, bass, pike, and gar! Employing fly fishing and conventional techniques based on your skill/comfort level.
Please note that the well-being of the trout is our top priority. Therefore, trips are subject to cancellation or location change based on water temperature conditions. Should a trip be canceled due to water temperatures, rest assured that you’ll have the option to receive a refund or reschedule according to your preference.

Walk and Wade Guided Steelhead and SalmonTrips
$500/day. Second angler can join for $100.
Immerse yourself in the world of fly fishing for migratory fish with our single hand steelhead and salmon trips. Starting as early as mid September and going until May providing the steelhead are in the rivers and the rivers are not frozen over.
The creeks and rivers of Southern Ontario and Wester New York host a migration of chinook salmon, coho salmon and brown trout as they make their way to there spawning grounds. This provides anglers with an opportunity to target them in creeks and rivers that can be accessed by walk and wade anglers employing either flies or conventional gear!
Ice Fishing Guided Trips
Looking for an unforgettable day on the ice? We offer a variety of ice fishing experiences that cater to all levels of anglers.
Lake Simcoe – Jumbo Perch
Group Fishing
Enjoy a fun-filled day on the ice with friends or family. We’ll provide all the necessary gear, including rods, reels, electronics, and shelters. Our expert guides will help you find the best spots and catch plenty of fish. To make your day even more special, we can prepare a fish fry right on the ice! (Fish fry can be substituted for other warm meal options) – $450 for a group of 4, $100 per additional angler over the age of 16.
Run and Gun Perching
For those looking to stock up on delicious fish, we offer specialized run and gun trips for one or two anglers. We’ll move quickly and efficiently to stay on the bite, using advanced equipment like LiveScope, AquaVu cameras, and a range of the latest baits and gear. This ensures you have the best chance of catching some of the tastiest fish around. $500/Day, 2 anglers max.
Pike, Crappie, and Lake Trout
If Lake Simcoe’s ice conditions aren’t ideal, don’t worry! We have access to many smaller lakes that freeze safely and offer excellent opportunities for targeting pike, crappie, trout, and more. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you to the best spots for a successful and enjoyable ice fishing adventure. $500/Day for 2 anglers, $100 per additional angler.

Fly Tying Lessons
$150 for 3 hr session (plus materials for advanced lessons)

- Working with wire and tinsel rib

- Tailing, hackle, flanks and marabou.
Fly Tying – Advanced – Streamers
- Tie with deer hair (muddlers, dungeons, mice, etc)
- Tie with synthetics (Fibres and Craft Furs)
- Using Flash to create textures
- Large loops
- Articulation
Live 2 Fish guide service is insured by HUB Insurance, Daniel is certified and trained in First Aid. It is required to complete a waiver prior to the course/guide trip begins. It can be emailed and filled out before you arrive or available to be filled out the day of the event.
